It was a bad week for me: my pipes froze Monday night, I was snowed in on Thursday (coming from the country), and then had a near fatal incident with a carbon monoxide leak from a broken furnace. So, I had to miss a lot of appointments last week and I’m very sorry. Hopefully this upcoming week will be calmer. I’ll be striving to make up all of the appointments I missed from last week. Thanks, again, for your patience.
As an aside, please make sure you have functioning carbon monoxide monitors in your home. One of mine malfunctioned and it was only because I had to get up 15 min earlier on Friday morning and my clock radio alarm went off that I was able to make it out of the house safely with my family. ADT or some other monitoring company is even better as the alarms are much louder and the Fire Department is automatically dispatched (I’m getting ADT again this week).
Unfortunately, we’re still working out the bugs with the new phone/server. Today (Jan. 22, 2013) we have had no phones or Internet, and the message we put on the answering machine isn’t being sent out either. Sorry for the problems, and please try again later if you need to reach us.
Here are a few dates that the clinic will be closed in the upcoming weeks: Family Day: Monday, February 18, 2013 Course: Friday, February 22, 2013 March Break: March 11-15, 2013 Please remember to get prescriptions for refills before so … Continue reading →
I’m very excited about these new laser applications. It’s revolutionary! I went to Slovenia and Croatia at the end of November to learn the techniques as the laser company, Fotona (www.fotona.com), is only located there. Fotona is the oldest laser manufacturer and has been creating and using lasers since two years after the first laser was used (1962). There are new applications being developed all the time. Brenda Pedder at AboutFace (www.aboutfacesarnia.com) is a trailblazer in the field and has been using the laser for medical esthetics over the last few years. I am the only physician in Ontario who performs these procedures (there is only one other physician in Canada and he is located in Gatineau, Quebec). No anesthesia is needed and it can be done during your usual workday with no downtime and no residual pain. Please look at the AboutFace website for more information and feel free to make an appointment for a consultation at 519-542-0079.
The first week of practice was very busy but reminded me why I enjoy my job. Thanks to those patients I saw, and for your appreciated patience! To those who tried calling/faxing, etc. the phone system was down off and on during the past week, and for some reason we have two answering lines. Still working on it, so please be patient!
